About Us

Welcome to Tre-End Glamping!

Our founder, Ben, opened our site in 2018 with a vision to create a back-to-basics glamping experience that would allow visitors to connect with nature and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

After spending 10 years in the offshore oil and gas industry, Ben wanted to spend more time at home and create a space where others could enjoy the tranquillity of the great outdoors. He transformed the orchard on his land into a beautiful and eco-friendly glamping site that offers visitors a unique and unforgettable experience.

At Tre-End Glamping, we pride ourselves on being eco-friendly and sustainable. We believe in preserving the environment, and we take measures to ensure that our site has as little impact on nature as possible.

One of the things that sets us apart from other glamping sites is our commitment to building and making things by hand. Ben loves to build and create, and he had great fun constructing our cabins, tents, and even a boat. Our visitors often comment on how much they appreciate the attention to detail and the personal touch that goes into every aspect of our site.

In addition to his love for building and creating, Ben also has a green thumb and enjoys growing his own vegetables. He particularly loves to grow tomatoes, chillies and strawberries and takes great pride in providing our visitors with fresh, homegrown veg during their stay.

We are passionate about providing our visitors with a memorable and unique glamping experience. We want you to feel at home and relaxed, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Thank you for choosing Tre-End Glamping, and we look forward to welcoming you soon!

About The Boat

At Tre-End Glamping, we are proud to have a rich history that is deeply intertwined with the life and experiences of our founder, Ben. In fact, one of the most fascinating stories we have to share is about the boat that now sits on our site and serves as a unique accommodation option for our visitors.

The boat has a special connection to Ben’s family history. Ben’s grandad built the boat in 1982, and it was launched on July 4th of that year – the same day that Ben was born. The boat remained in the family for many years, until Ben’s grandad sold it in 2000 to a man in Golant.

Fast forward to 2015, and Ben found himself on a walk in Golant. As he was exploring the area, he came across the very same boat that his grandad had built so many years before. The boat was now in the garden of a man who was selling it, and Ben knew that he had to buy it back. After giving her a few repairs and the engine a bit of tlc Ben enjoyed many years of diving, fishing and days on the water.

Ben’s love for building and creating meant that he had the perfect vision for the boat – he wanted to build it into the ground on the glamping site so that visitors could stay in it and experience its unique history and charm. And that’s exactly what he did!

Soon, the boat will serve as a one-of-a-kind accommodation option for our visitors, and we are proud to be able to offer such a special experience. From the moment you step inside, you will be transported to a different time and place, surrounded by the craftsmanship and history that went into building this beautiful vessel.

The boat was originally called Biffo B which was his grandads nickname in the police force however she has now been renamed to Thumper which coincidentally works well in it’s new home “The Warren”.

We can’t wait for you to be able to enjoy a stay in Thumper!
